Frederick N. Herman, MD, FACS, FACSRS

Dr. Herman has been in surgical practice in West Broward since 1983. He is board certified in both General Surgery and in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He has also done additional training in Breast Cancer care. His practice is devoted to the diagnosis, care and treatment of patients with breast problems and breast cancer.

Dr. Herman is a native of Miami. He went to the University of Miami School of Medicine. He continued in his surgical training in Miami and completed it with his fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Herman is a Fellow of both the American Board of Surgery and the Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He belongs to multiple surgical societies.

Dr. Herman is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami and also at NovaSoutheastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also participates in training physician assistants and surgical podiatry residents.

Dr. Herman is the former Chief of Staff of Westside Regional Medical Center where he also served on the board of trustees and the medical executive committee. He is also the former chief of surgery at Outpatient Surgical Services and he currently serves on the governing board.
