Brian K. Weinstein, MD, FACS

Dr Weinstein has been in private practice since 1998. He came to South Florida after finishing his training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is a graduate of the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He is Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the Chief of Staff and former Chief of Surgery at Westside Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the Medical Executive Committees at Westside Regional Medical Center and University Hospital, and serves on the Board of Trustees at Westside Regional Medical Center, Outpatient Surgical Services and South Florida Surgical Specialists.

Dr Weinstein has several areas of interest in his practice. He is very involved in Breast cancer, including diagnosis and treatment. He is interested in all aspects of hernia repair, including advanced techniques such as laparoscopic and component separation techniques. He is a member of the American Hernia Society. Dr Weinstein is also interested in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Advanced Laparoscopic techniques, especially for Gastroesophageal Reflux and Hiatal Hernia repair and is one of only a few surgeons in South Florida who perform this Minimally Invasive procedure.
